The media file sports an .mp3 file extension and looks to be a legit music track. When a user clicks on the file to download a supposed special codec and media player to play the media file, they get a surprise in the form of a computer screen full of pop-ups all delivered by a group of malware programs. This attack has been delivered mostly through the peer-to-peer networks. The attack was delivered to more than 500,000 people with about 10% of those downloading the file being infected with the Trojan.
