How to extend your cell phone battery life?
Have you ever thought of saving your cell battery life? Or wondered why people have problems with their phone due to battery? Here are some quick tips on how to save your cell phone battery life and keep the conversation going.
- Screen brightness can be a major factor for reducing the battery life. Best option is to keep the screen brightness to around 50% or less. Initially you will find difference, but it can be a great way to save its life.
- Some people keep the backlight duration very long. This can take lots of power. Always try the lowest setting first. Say 5 seconds or 10. But then if it gets too short, make it bit longer.
- Avoid sounds which are not necessary. Well, this doesn’t mean keep your phone in Silent mode. Sure you will want your phone to ring at calls. But beeping every time when pressing buttons or say receiving messages can be of no use. Less sound means more life. Always make sure you remove unnecessary sounds in your phone.
- Coming to Bluetooth, some people forget to shut down Bluetooth once the transfers are complete. Remember, this can be a major blow to longer battery life. Similarly Infrared technology too can consume more power when not in use. So remember to switch off while not using. This technology consumes high power even when zero transfers.
- Games, capturing photos or even surfing web sites can consume lot of power + processor load + backlight. But who wants to use a cell without these options. After all fun is an element of technology, yes it is, but see that you use them minimum.
- Charging the battery on a regular basis can improve battery life. Avoid keeping the phone in hot places and remember, never allow your battery power to go extremely low.

I’m getting a New Cell for Xmas so yer Timing is Perfect! ;))
LOL..there u go Bill….Good luck!
HELP!! There are 2 LG VX5300 phones on my Verizon wireless family plan, and there’s a perplexing problem with one of them that I wouldn’t believe unless I’d seen it happen with my own eyes.
Phone #1 is several months older than Phone #2, is used mostly in Greater Boston, MA, and has no problem maintaining a charge in either MA or NH.
Phone #2 is used mostly in Hanover, NH, and there’s a problem maintaining the charge in NH where it stays charged (after being fully charged) for only 2-3 days. The same Phone #2 stays charged for 8+ days in MA.
I’ve been trying to figure out the problem for several months and can’t account for it. Both phones are fine in MA but Phone #2 doesn’t hold a charge longer than 3 days in NH.
Can anyone help me?
