Review Sunday-MLB ‘08:The Show
Welcome to another edition of Review Sunday. I apologize for writing this post a little late because of a party I had to attend last night. After coming back home late night I woke up a bit late. Alright, this week, I’ll review the game MLB 2008: The show. This game is going to be released in early 2008. The game is all about Baseball and for baseball fans, definitely the best to go. MLB 2008 is already considered the most authentic baseball game available with a more realistic baseball experience.
MLB 2008 offers great gameplay experience. It all starts with the show mode as gamers turn their endeavor to make a line up in the leagues. They play offense as well as defense with a more vigorous goal and career advancement system that decides when a player is entitled for promotion. In MLB ‘08, the custom created players look more interactive. The game graphics look more realistic. In MLB ‘08, player positioning looks much better compared to prior versions. Gamers can adjust the player positioning, catchers undergo defensive situations and lot more.
MLB ‘08 also comes with progressive batting features. This feature rewards the players for good performances in matches and also penalizing them for hitting slumps. Players are rewarded with bonus or punished with a decrease in contract. It all depends on the player’s performance. So keeping up to it is must. The best feature MLB ‘08 comes with is, SCOUT( Sports Connect Online User Tracking). This feature allows gamers to store the game preferences on the MLB server. It also enables the system to look for a quick match and get going.
Some of the best features include:
- A new Pitcher Analysis, both in-game and post game that offers breakdown of how a batter has performed based on LHP or
RHP and result - MLB ‘08 offers opportunities to grab music stored on a PS3 system’s HDD. This can add tracks to the list of music played in the Jukebox, thereby allows fans to create their own soundtrack.
- The game comes with more than 3,000 individual player animations, including personalized stances, pitching animations, individual swings, and more.
- The game adds to the practicality by including Umpires combined with Interactive Hot and Cold Zones, Release Point Pitching combined with Adaptive Pitching Intelligence (API) and the Pitch Command System (PCS). The commentaries include the three-man booth featuring Rex Huddler, Matt Vasgerian and Dave Campbell.
- As I told you earlier, MLB ‘08 has the Progressive Batting Performance feature which rewards players for good performance in matches.
- Adding to the online feature set the game introduces SCOUT (Sports Connect Online User Tracking).

Do people actually watch baseball?
Yes, why not?
Sounds cool, I’m usually a 2k sports fan but the more I played 07 The Show the more I’m leaning toward changing over to The Show in 2008. Thanks for the info.
